AFCOM NT works in partnership with individuals, communities, businesses and governments to advance the health and wellbeing of Territorians — in particular African people and people from low socio-economic backgrounds — by celebrating their diversity and talents.
African Community Northern Territory (AFCOM NT) is a newly formed not-for-profit association from Darwin and Katherine. Established in 2024 by a group of young individuals passionate about football and a shared vision of empowering African people, communities and businesses in the NT.

AFCON NT celebrates the rich heritage of African football through the Annual African Cup of Nations, hosted in Darwin. A unique platform to showcase the extraordinary football talents and diversity of African people living in the NT — and a beacon of community strength bringing together diverse audiences in shared celebration of sportsmanship and mutual respect.

AFCOM NT is led by a passionate team of community members from Darwin and Katherine, committed to delivering on our mission, objectives and goals.
Chairman / President
Provides leadership and is ultimately responsible for ensuring AFCON NT works within our mission, objectives, goals, plan, constitution, rules and regulations.
Secretary
Main point of contact within AFCON NT for all matters relating to the association — providing information, instruction and coordination across topics.
Treasurer
Manages the financial affairs of AFCON NT. Collects and protects cash and assets, and oversees all revenue and payments.
Public Officer
Ensures documents are filed with the Commissioner of Consumer Affairs in accordance with the Act, and maintains a current copy of the Association's Constitution.
Event Coordinator & Logistics
Coordinates and delivers events and projects as required — planning, booking and scheduling everything from speakers to match-day logistics.
Ordinary Member
Supports the committee across initiatives and helps deliver AFCOM NT's mission in the community.
